Someone just asked me what they could do for their son's acne. We start with hydration, digestion and diet. Again, even if we drink water it may not penetrate into the cells therefore the herbal water or "Smart Water" as recommended in the early writing is essential if we are running into problems with skin. Then we look at diet and digestion. Eating meals on time and not eating late at night. We want to give our digestive system a rest from 6 PM to 6 AM - this is when the body rests, rejuvenates and detoxifies. Secondly - lets look at the organs of eliminations - without good hydration the kidneys will be challenged. Are the bowels getting the support they need with hydration, fibre and probiotics. Those lovely good bacteria that are essential to keep the walls of the colon intelligent - so that they know what to eliminate and what to put back in the blood stream. So a long time remedy in SVAyurved and all Ayurved is Triphala - to maintain a healthy colon and also home made yogurt that is diluted into a delicious drink called lassi - this puts back the good bacteria into the digestive tracts that improve our digestion and elimination.
