colon heath

The colon plays a most important role in maintaining our health. It is one of the most intelligent organs in the body. The walls of the colon re-absorb water and necessary items and eliminate those that are not needed. Therefore the colon is not just a simple rubber hose - it is constantly working to maintain optimal body function. We know it is not happy when either we are constipated or we have diarrhea. Ir even worse we get cramping and pain. It is calling for help. Some of the simple things that we can do to keep the colon happy are: 1. provide it with good quality beneficial bacteria. and 2. Make sure we have enough hydration so that it has enough water to do its work. 3. eat plenty of fruits and veggies so that there is enough fibre 4. winter routine

Someone called me today to say that they wanted to do a cleanse. You can read some of the early posting about cleanses. However just to review. The best time to move toxins out of the body is in the spring and fall. Winter is the least ideal time to detox or cleanse to body of toxins. During the winter months every things is shrinking and preserving - the nadis or bioelectrical channels as well at the shrotos or physical channels. During the winter we want to nourish and rest.
