"Vaidya Mishra always very strictly warned against large beans and soya in particular as being channel clogging. Soya also has the effect of being estrogenic which can interfere with hormone systems."

Women should avoid eating too much soya if they are trying for a baby, a UK fertility expert believes.
A study in humans has shown a compound in soya called genistein sabotages the sperm as it swims towards the egg.

Professor Lynn Fraser, from King's College London, said even tiny doses in the female tract could burn sperm out.

She told a European fertility conference that avoiding soya around women's most fertile days of the month might aid conception...........Blaine. Watson March 2021

Ayurveda uses the term "SHROTA' to mean all the physical channels in the body from our veins and arteries to the micro channels in our cells that transport various nutrients into the cell and toxins out of the cell. According to the Shaka Vansiya lineage of Vaidya RK Mishra, certain foods clog these channels more so than others interfering with nutrient assimilation and detoxification.

In the above news report, modern science now is confirming the biochemistry behind this well known fact in Ayurveda from ancient times. Soya beans (including Tofu) are particularly emphasized in the above. However SVA recommends that we avoid all large beans including Soya beans" kidney, garbanzo, black beans etc.  Oh dear !!! What can I eat then"  However, you will find many alternatives. Here are a few: Mung green and yellow (which are skinned green Mung), Moth, Adzuki, Green lentils, French lentils, Red lentils, Black lentils.  There is also a variety of small garbanzo beans.  I have developed a wonderful recipes for hummus using green Mung beans instead of garbanzo.

Soya according to the above reference and other sources I have seen seems to be particularly bad for causing hormonal imbalances.

The reason to avoid these channel cloggers is not only to keep the physical channels open but also the vibrational channels known as "NADIS" which allow for the flow of PRANA or life force also known as CHI in chinese medicine.  The nadis are more than just the meridians of Chinese Meidicine but they interlace all the various layers of our physical, emotional and subtle energetic bodies.
